Normal sudoku rules apply.
Digits in cages do not repeat.
Each cage is either full of "oil" (even digits), full of "water" (odd digits), or a mix of both. In all cases, each "row" within a cage is of just one type (oil or water). Oil floats on water, so even digits will always be in rows above odd digits in mixed cages.
Digits separated by an X sum to 10. Digits separated by a V sum to 5. ALL possible X's and V's are shown.
Digits separated by a white dot are consecutive. Not all possible dots are shown.

As with most puzzles, it is much harder if one doesn't properly read the rules. Wonderful resolution though!

Interesting how differently this can be solved, because for me it was primarily an oil and water puzzle.
Very fun either way.

Nice setting!
Tip: don't color the odds/evens...color the 1-4s and 6-9s and then use the odd/even logic near the end

this had me worried early on, thinking I might have to keep track of both constraints with colors, but it turned out fine.
I used my regular colouring options for XV colouring grids, and kept the odd/even constraint in mind for a few occations it came up (only two or three times iirc)

A very pretty colourful puzzle :) I could have solved it earlier, but I filled in every single square with parity colour and then 1-3,2-4, 6-8 and 7-9 colour circles except for four squares, before I began to fill in digits. Very enjoyable

Lovely! Possibly my favorite Oil and Water so far with a surprising (to me, at least) insight into the nature of X's and V's. Colors help massively and don't forget the negative constraint!

Very nice puzzle again. But as I do often I forget one of the rules and end up staring at the grid for much to long before realizing that.
