Normal sudoku rules apply.
Each cage is either full of "oil" (even digits), full of "water" (odd digits), or a mix of both. In all cases, each "row" within a cage is of just one type (oil or water). Oil floats on water, so even digits will always be in rows above odd digits in mixed cages.
Digits in cages do not repeat and sum to the value shown.
There are 9 vampires (digits 1-9 once each) in the grid; one in each row, column and box. There are also 9 victims (digits 1-9 once each) in the grid; one in each row, column and box. For purposes of cage totals: (a) vampire cells have a value equal to the sum of their digit plus the digit of the victim cell in their box, and (b) victim cells have a value of 0.

What a great puzzle. Don't ask me how, but somehow it managed to be very challenging and approachable at the same time.
I suppose this comes down to the fact that there are always so many clues you can look at so you never feel like you're stuck.
Thank you Blobz for the absolutely amazing puzzle!

This one brilliant puzzle which is so approachable, the only reason I didn't finish it so quickly was me wanting to savour every bit of logic and colour the grid with complete sense of fun. Thanks for this.

this was tricky for me (in a good way) to keep my vampires and victims in check. in the end I messed up a few times, I think I was overworking the oil water and causing some stack overflows in my meat computer.

I imagine it's in the spirit of Halloween but it's always nice to see a Vampire puzzle, especially utilized this well.
