Oil, Water, Kropki

(Published on 19. February 2024, 16:00 by Blobz)

Normal sudoku rules apply.

Black dots separate two digits where one is double the other. Not all such dots are shown.

Digits in cages do not repeat and must sum to the small clue, if given.

Each cage is either full of "oil" (even digits), full of "water" (odd digits), or a mix of both. In all cases, each "row" within a cage is of just one type (oil or water). Oil floats on water, so even digits will always be in rows above odd digits in mixed cages.

I have the same trouble as Sinuit with the colouring, so I just imagine its water and sand, with the odd, yellow, sand digits sinking below the even, blue water digits.

Great puzzle as ever! Thank you!

I love these oil and water puzzles. Thanks again for this one!
The only bad thing is: I like to color even digits blue and odd digits yellow which are also good colors for oil and water. But just the other way round. So, the hardest part of the puzzle was to decide for a color coding. :-)

Very fun puzzle, not overly difficult but awesome setting and satisfying break in.

That was great! And the idea behind is is quite unique, too :)
