i found that to be hard (for me at least) the break in was quite difficult to get, maybe I was looking at the wrong thing though; anyways: nicely made puzzle, thank you

koarla I think this puzzle was a bit harder but honestly just play with black dots, specially with the fact that only you can place 2 or 4 between 2 black dots that see each other (either by sudoku or by anti-bishop). The renbans are then to let you know which case it is.
I agree that it is more frustrating while you dont see that tip (along with box 1 restrictions) but after I hope it plays more easily
Hope this tip help with starting the puzzle.

Thanks for the input koarla! I can definitely see that difference, and how a lack of a clear path can shift a puzzle from "challenging" to "frustrating" real quickly.

Hey bboom, since you asked for a comparison between this puzzle and the previous one:
I think what made "deranged scribbles" more enjoyable is that the overall strategy seemed pretty clear (SPOILERS AHEAD) - first use the Palindrome lines to figure out even/odd, then use letters/colors to figure out which digits need to be the same by Sudoku and the two "anti"-rules, then use German whispers and region sums to figure out which letter/color is which digit.
I found it quite rewarding to have this clear path to follow, whereas in this puzzle it was less clear (at least to me) what I needed to be doing and where I needed to be looking, so I resorted to testing hypotheses quite a lot.

Hey puzzlers,
I've noticed that the rating for this puzzle is a fair bit lower than my previous one ("Deranged scribbles or modern art?"). I'm pretty new to setting these puzzles, so I would love to hear what makes this one less fun/interesting than the previous one.
If you disliked this one, or liked it less, please feel free to comment about what made it less fun for you. I definitely won't take it personally, for me it is an opportunity to learn and make the next ones better!

Very nice puzzle, thanks for setting&sharing.
Didn't even need the "all dots are given" rule for kropki dots.
