After making
this enjoyable response to
aqjhs's Setting Saturdays prompt about Pi Ratio lines, I realised that my ruleset
summed digits on line segments when the prompt asked setters to
concatenate them. Furthermore, I've recently been on an uncharacteristic streak of compositions that are approachable and fun. This puzzle rights both of those wrongs. Many thanks to
MathGuy_12 and
Nebuzaradan for testing.
WARNING:
The step most likely to be inaccessible for some solvers is very early in the puzzle, so if you are unable to start logically or you are resorting to "brute force" and you wish to see the intended solution path, please help yourself to the SOLUTION GUIDE.
Mean Mini: Select four digits from 0-9, then enter one of those digits into each cell such that digits do not repeat in a row, column or box.
A line, when read from one end to another, shows two numbers (one in each box) in a 22:7 ratio. Neither may have a leading 0.
Digits separated by a white dot differ by the number shown.
Solution code: Column 4 (far right), top to bottom
