Bouncing Digits

(Published on 24. January 2026, 06:48 by antiknight)

I wanted to explore an idea combining entropic lines and fortress cells, together with the knight’s move constraint. Feel free to leave a comment if you enjoyed it.

Rules:
  • Sudoku: Normal Sudoku rules apply.
  • Knight's move: Digits must not repeat in cells that are a chess knight's move apart.
  • Entropic Lines: Any set of three digits along the peach lines must contain one small digit (1, 2, 3), one medium digit (4, 5, 6), and one large digit (7, 8, 9).
  • Renban Lines: Digits along each magenta line must be a set of consecutive digits in any order.
  • Fortress: Grey cells with outward-pointing arrows indicate values greater than all orthogonally adjacent cells, while grey cells with inward-pointing arrows indicate values smaller than all orthogonally adjacent cells.

Very cool construction. Quite tricky but worth it. Thanks!

Beautiful uses of the anti-knight constraint in the first half; the second half was significantly harder for me to scan and took me a long while to find the desired breakthrough, at least the anti-knight came into the rescue again thankfully xd

- Thanks for your comment and feedback! I wanted the puzzle to have a little taste of the anti-knight in the second half :P
