Reciprocal Sudoku

(Published on 28. January 2026, 10:00 by FIT7Y)

Be sure to read the rules very carefully!

Rules:

Place the digits 1-6 once each into every row, column, and box.

The value of each cell with a digit N is 1/N.

Values along a green German Whisper line differ by at least ¼.

Box borders divide a blue Region Sum line into segments. The sum of values along each segment is the same along each line. Different Region Sum lines may have different sums.

The V points at the smaller of two values.

Seemed simple enough to me. You just have to write out the relationships between the numbers. Not much difference between the reciprocal GW line and a custom line that has manually-defined adjacent relationships.
Really, the main difficulty in this puzzle is the lower RS line, and even then, it's not much harder than a normal RS.
I'm certain I've seen harder puzzles given 1* on this site, so I'm not sure what the other two are talking about.

Very cool puzzle, though, and a 6x6 is a great size for it, since all digits but 5 have a common multiple of 12, making the RS lines pretty approachable.

Good puzzle, but definitely not a level 1.

Here's a tip, get everything into the lowest common factor of 60 (or 12 and just know the 5 is between the 4 and 6). And then solve it with those numbers instead.

given that you FIRST have to work out all possible relationships among the fractions, that SECOND you have to work out the pattern on the w lines, then THIRD you have to do a bunch of casing and chaining, that FURTHERMORE you need to be someone who WORKS with numbers on a daily basis, this cannot qualify as level 1.
