Easter Egg 2025

- Normal sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1-9 in each row, column, and 3x3 box without repetition.
- German Whispers: Adjacent digits on a green line must have a difference of at least 5.
- Renban: Digits placed on purple lines must be a non-repeating set of consecutive digits in any order.
- Region Sum Lines: Box borders split blue lines into sections, and the digits on those sections must sum to the same value.
- Entropic Lines: Any set of three sequential cells along a beige line must contain a low digit (123), a middle digit (456), and a high digit (789). Digits may repeat on lines, if allowed by other rules.
Visual impairment friendly version: here. This version has text abbreviations specifying which rule each type of line is. GW for German whisper, RB for renban, RSL for region sum line, and EN for entropic. For the avoidance of doubt, the German whisper line makes up the entirety of the border of the Easter egg, and the other lines move across the egg horizontally.
To increase accessibility to my puzzles, I include hints in my puzzle posts (see below) and also post solution videos which guide you through the hints on my YouTube channel. If you'd like to solve this in your own video, go ahead! But ideally, let me know here or via Discord (same username) if you do ^.^
Hint 1: It may seem like overkill, but fully pencilmarking the German whisper line is quite helpful in this puzzle, including taking care of all places where 4's and 6's can't go (since they are the most restricted).
Hint 2: Pay special attention to column 2 in box 4. There's only one way to make this portion of the German whisper line work.
Hint 3: After that, focus on the renbans. There are only 3 ways to make them contain a sequence of 7 digits, and that has implications on what columns 1 and 9 can be for each line.

Updated post as part of an effort to improve consistency of rule phrasing and post layout across all my puzzles. I also included a link to a second version of the puzzle that's more accessible to solvers with visual impairments such as colorblindness.

Nice and easy but have i seen this elsewhere?
EDIT: a much harder but similar puzzle appeared in the CTC Holiday Pack 2024 in Easter 2024. Shame they didn’t issue another pack for 2025.
