Nu-Ring-Kabe

This puzzle was made for round 1 of a pencil puzzle hybrid competition on the Skunkworks Discord server. Other than putting together some small test puzzles to learn about the two genres I had to combine, this is my first official pencil puzzle setting. I had a lot of fun exploring both genres of Nurikabe and Ring-Ring and am quite happy with where this landed. I hope you enjoy!
Rules
Nurikabe:
Shade some cells such that all shaded cells form one orthogonally connected area. Clues (digits) cannot be shaded, and every orthogonally connected area of unshaded cells contains exactly one clue, the value of which represents the size of the area. No 2x2 region may be entirely shaded.
Given dark-grey cells are treated as shaded for the purposes of the above rule.
Ring-Ring:
Fill all unshaded cells in the grid with lines by drawing rectangles that consist of horizontal and vertical lines that pass through, or make 90 degree turns in, the centres of unshaded cells. The sides of different rectangles may intersect (and cross) but may not overlap or share a corner.
Lines may pass through shaded cells, but must not make a 90 degree turn.
Additionally, lines may not pass through the given dark-grey cells at all.
For Clarity:
1. All unshaded cells must contain a line (or intersecting lines).
2. Shaded cells may, but are not required to, contain straight lines or intersecting lines, but no 90 degree turns.
3. Given dark-grey cells may not contain lines at all.

Lösungscode: Row 8 with unshaded cells as the digit equal to its area (island) size, and shaded cells as an 'x'. (10 characters total. Example - X1X2XX33X2)

Absolutely amazing puzzle! Feels good to do something else than just Sudoku - and I‘m a fan of Nurikabe. Thank you very much for creating and sharing this lovely hybrid.

Very smooth and enjoyable with a good variety of logic, the combination of rules is simple and precise, every step was elegant.
