Chaos Construction: Broiled Doppelganger (6x6)
(Eingestellt am 15. Februar 2025, 13:23 Uhr von bodemeister)
This is the middle-size version of a set of three puzzles with the same ruleset including chaos construction, doppelganger, and a twist on normal thermometers. I recommending solving them in order from smallest to largest, as the difficulty ramps up quickly and the larger puzzles include logic used in the smaller puzzles. I'd like to thank
Wullemuus and
Kafkapharnaum for their help testing this ruleset!
Links including tracking cells:
Rules:
- Chaos Construction: Divide the main grid into six nonoverlapping regions such that each region is a set of six orthogonally-connected cells.
- Doppelganger: Place the digits 0-6 into the square grid such that digits do not repeat in each row, column, and region. Digit 0 appears in every row, column, and region, but each other digit is missing in exactly one row, one column, and one region. For each 0, the digit missing in that 0's row, column, and region must be three different numbers.
- T-lines: Grey lines are called T-lines and have the following properties:
1) Digits strictly increase along the line from one end to the other, with the direction of increase to be determined by the solver.
2) No region can contribute only one cell to a T-line.
3) Cells from the same region cannot all be adjacent on a T-line. For example, if a region contributes digits 1, 3, and 6 to a line, then there is a different region contributing at least one digit between 1 and 6 to the line.
- Grey circles: There is an independent, invisible, 4-cell T-line through the four cells surrounding each grey circle.

Lösungscode: The digit missing in each 0's region, beginning with the 0 in the top row and moving downwards.

I am a bit confused by the ruleset. „No region can contribute only one cell to a T-line“ -> does that mean that for every T-line, if a region contributes to it, this region contributes at least twice to that same T-line? Or that, if a region contributes to any T-line, it has to have at least another cell on any T-line (but not necessarily the same one)?
------------
Any region contributing to a T-line must contribute at least 2 cells to that T-line

Then I do not see how you can obey rule (3) with the given shapes of the T-lines… the bottom left one needs to consist of at least 3 regions, but then I cant get the vertical T-line to work…
-------------
The bottom-left T-line could only have 2 regions. For example, one region could contribute 0,1,2,5 and the other region contribute 4,6.
