I also favor letters. Much easier to see pairs and eliminate with the negative constraint. Another great puzzle in a great series thx.

Discovering all of the interactions between the irregular cages as I colored was a blast! Great puzzle!

This was so beautiful. I'm quite new to solving and this is definitely the hardest puzzle I've managed, and many of the deductions were uniquely satisfying.

Brilliant. Lots of fun. Found it easier to use letters instead of colours.

Solve Time: 28:54
I rated this 2/5 difficulty.
I've really enjoyed the XV*Magic series, and this irregular XV puzzle was similarly very enjoyable.
The XV clues were nicely placed to make the coloring process approachable, but not trivial.
Coloring the irregular grid also led to some nice deductions that are not typically present in other XV puzzles using normal square cages.
Overall this puzzle was fairly easy, but the irregular grid made spotting patterns a bit trickier - so I decided 2/5 difficulty was a fair difficulty rating. My solve time was significantly longer/higher compared to most 2* puzzles I solve, but this is less a result of the logic being hard so much as it is a result of the coloring process taking longer than usual with the irregular cages.
Thanks for sharing!
