Decompression

As usual, big thanks to my dad for testing!

Try a practice puzzle, SHADOW, which uses a Quattroquadri version of Squishdoku Deconstruction among other constraints.

Play on SudokuPad

SQUISHDOKU DECONSTRUCTION:
- Find nine 3x3 boxes in the grid, each with a different central cell;
- Fill each box with the digits 1-9 such that a digit does not repeat in a row or column;
- Cells not belonging to any box should not be filled.

REGION SUM LINES:
- Digits on a blue line have an equal sum within each box through which it passes;
- Every line must visit (or exist entirely within) at least two boxes;
- A line may pass through cells that do not belong to any box.

Solution code: Row 1 (top) left to right, with a dash (-) representing an empty cell

Beautifully bizarre

This took me two hours, though I think stubbornly using colours for boxes and letters for digit patterns slowed me down in hindsight. Probably not the best notation.

What an amazing journey though! Beautiful puzzle

A very interesting puzzle once again, a well spent 95 minute yoga session for my brain.

A new kind of logic required, enjoyed!

Liked the practice puzzle as well but I think the the Kropki dots are technically broken, although there is room for discussion.

This took me a long time, but it was worth it. Very colorful, too.
