Chaos Construction: Miracle on 64 Cells

(Eingestellt am 18. Januar 2025, 00:00 Uhr von Playmaker6174)

So here it is, another chaos construction puzzle of mine, buuut...

The main idea of this puzzle has been in my shimmering list of puzzle ideas for 6+ months, but other various projects (including pencil puzzle hybrids) were getting into my way in the past according to the schedule, so it's only about few days ago that I only got to pick this main idea there.
An inspiration of this puzzle actually came from my relatively old miracle puzzle here, and I figured out that this idea could work nicely in the form of chaos construction... so I eventually managed to achieve a cool result of it yesterday, but yeah you can imagine how much efforts it took to even achieve something like this...

It's not a totally perfect puzzle aesthetically, but the logic in this one should deliver more than one would expect and also they shouldn't be too tricky to spot either. For now, I hope you enjoy the puzzle!

Rules:

- Every row and column contain digits from 1 to 8 each once. Divide the entire 8x8 grid into 8 orthogonally connected regions so that each region will also contain digits from 1 to 8 each once.

- The gray circle contains an odd digit.

- Each outside clue shows two different things and acts as the same value for both things - which needs to be deduced for each clue:

1) The sum of the first X cells seen from that clue's direction in its respective row/column, where X is the first digit seen by that clue.
In addition, those X cells must belong to the same region and the (X+1)th cell next to them must belong to a different region.

2) The sum of two cells that share the last region border seen from that clue's direction in its respective row/column (of course, not counting the 8x8 grid perimeter).

An example of how an outside clue's rules work can be found below.

Puzzle:Penpa plus  -  Sudokupad

Good luck and have fun solving!

Lösungscode: Enter column 6 from top to bottom with a hyphen '-' for a region border, not counting the 8x8 grid perimeter.
For example: 123 - 456 - 78.

This is such a good puzzle Playmaker! Brilliant idea. Very cool logic where the restrictions start coming into play. The locus of difficulties seems to be getting started, some preliminary logic etc, as the solve was quite smooth after breaking in. Such fun. Thank you again!!
