This puzzle is a sequel of sorts to Whispering Caves, using the same basic rule set but treating the unshaded cells as Renbans rather than German Whispers. Estimated difficulty is between 3 and 4 stars.
Rules:
Normal Sudoku rules apply.
Shade some cells such that all shaded cells are connected orthogonally by other shaded cells to the edge of the grid, and the remaining unshaded cells form one orthogonally connected area. Note that 2x2 areas that are entirely shaded or entirely unshaded are allowed.
Digits in circles cannot be shaded, and represent the total number of unshaded cells seen horizontally and vertically from that cell, including itself. Shaded cells block the vision.
Digits in cells separated by a white dot must have consecutive values. Additionally, one of those cells must be shaded and the other must be unshaded.
Every set of orthogonally connected unshaded cells within a 3x3 Sudoku region acts as a Renban line: that is, those cells must contain a nonrepeating set of consecutive digits in any order. Note that a 3x3 region may have more than one such set of cells. Also note that such a set may consist of just one cell.
Lösungscode: Digits in unshaded cells in row 5 (left to right), followed by digits in unshaded cells in column 5 (top to bottom)

Awesome puzzle! I love the caves iteration. I have a bit of familiarity with the ruleset from the “outside” variant in 14 minesweeper variants. It’s very exciting to use some knowledge from another game

Brilliant. Had to be very careful on the yin yang variant here. Renban works awesome. Masterpiece thx.

Solve Time: 45:57
I rated this 3/5 difficulty.
Saw this posted on CTC's YouTube channel and gave it a stab before watching.
Wow, very fun and very cool puzzle! The break in was great and the whole puzzle went smoothly for me. The ruleset was enjoyable, and the setting was top-tier. The way the kropki white dots worked was great and a really interesting way of restricting the shaded cells' placement.
I thought that this puzzle was surprisingly approachable (for an intermediate+ solver), and the whole solve path was very well paced and had a consistent difficulty throughout. I didn't feel like I got stuck for very long, and the solve path felt very intentional and well-executed.
Due to my solve time being around 45 mins (within my normal time range for 3* puzzles), and my fairly smooth solve, I decided to rate this 3/5 difficulty (though perhaps it is on the harder end of 3* puzzles).
Wonderful and creative puzzle! Thanks for sharing!

The renban aspect introduced some wonderful new logic to the cave series. I really enjoyed the variety of logical deductions needed to progress. Exceedingly clever construction and cluing. Truly fun, thank you!!

This is an absolutely stunning puzzle! Very interesting ruleset and very intricate logics needed frequently up until the final digit. Every step along the way is clever, well-thought and most of them non-trivial and thought-provoking. Whenever you might be stuck - just look for non-obvious deductions and ramifications. Definitely a harder but very pleasing puzzle! Thank you for this gem, yttrio!
