This puzzle was created for Greeny as part of the CtC discord Secret Santa 2024. My 'santee' mentioned that he has cats, and also that he enjoyed Marty Sears' series of rat run puzzles. So here is my attempt at combining those two things.
Normal sudoku rules apply.
TEST CONSTRAINT: The cat’s path forms a valid entropic line. That is, every run of three adjacent cells along the path will always contain a low (1,2,3), a medium (4,5,6) and a high (7,8,9) digit. The cat does not visit any square more than once and its path never crosses itself. The cat can move either diagonally or orthogonally. When jumping a wall, this can only be done into an orthogonally adjacent square though.
ONE-WAY DOORS: The cat may only pass directly through an arrow if moving in the direction the arrow is pointing. An arrow always points to the smaller of the two digits it sits between.
MILK: Cells connected by a saucer of milk always contain consecutive digits. Milk has not necessarily been placed at every place it could have been.
PAWPRINTS: The cat has left pawprints after jumping over the walls. All cells containing paw prints are where the cat has landed.
CHRISTMAS TREE: The cat definitely visits the cell containing the Christmas tree.
SMOKE: The smoke filling the laboratory will be obscuring parts of the maze and some clues, but these will be revealed in the surrounding squares when a correct digit is entered.
At some point a special treat at the end of the cat’s path will also be revealed.
Please note that sudokupad only checks that the digits are correct, so the completion message may appear before the puzzle has been fully completed by discovering the entire path.
Lösungscode: Digits on the path in row 8

Minor clarification of the rules, as per comments.

Clarification: (if it wasn't obvious from Marty Sears' puzzles) the path can't cross itself.

Thank you for this fun puzzle, Phil! I enjoyed your take on the Rat Run concept. Especially, the jumping over walls was a nice touch. Thank you for setting and sharing!
