Foresight, by James Sinclair

Normal sudoku rules apply, and all clues are standard.
Arrows: the sum of the digits along an arrow is equal to the digit in the connected circle, and these digits can repeat if allowed by other rules.
Thermometers: digits on thermometers increase from the bulb.
Quadruple circles: a digit inside a white circle must appear in one of the four cells surrounding that circle.

I rated this 2/5 difficulty.

Very nice approachable sudoku with some interesting logic! I really liked the quads interacted with the other clues around the grid during the break-in.

The tricky part of this puzzle, for me, was figuring out how the quads worked to eliminate digits in their respective boxes/rows/cols when combined with other information from clues that shared a respective region/set.

I found this puzzle fairly easy given my experience/skill level, but I think the logic was a bit too tricky in the break-in to rate it 1/5 difficulty, so I think 2/5 is fair for the difficulty. Even though it was 'easy', it wasn't trivial and it had quite a fun solve path. This puzzle used some cool tricks that led to some interesting revelations/deductions.

Great setting, and thanks for sharing! I think this had some very interesting logic, especially for a 2* difficulty puzzle. Balancing interesting logic while remaining approachable seems quite tough, but this puzzle struck a nice balance. Definitely worth giving it a go!
