My first Yin Yang. Thanks to marty_sears for suggesting this tweak of combining yin yang and index lines while we were brainstorming, to gdc for encouraging me to simplify it and clarify wording, and to the testers.
Rules:
Normal sudoku rules apply.
Yin Yang: Color every cell in the grid light or dark. Cells of the same color are orthogonally connected. Every 2x2 contains both colors.
Index Lines: On an index line, the digit in the Nth cell along the line (starting from the diamond) indicates the position along the line where the digit N appears. Eg: 3214 would be a valid line with 3 as the diamond; the 1st digit, 3, indicates that the 3rd cell contains a 1, the 2nd cell a 2, and so on.
Index Line Coloring: All cells that reference their own position on a line (the digit N is in position N) should be dark. Cells that are not self referencing should be light. For example for the line 3214 with 3 as the diamond, the 2 and 4 would be dark and the 1 and 3 would be light.
Yin Yang White Kropki Dots: Digits separated by a white dot are consecutive and have the same color. Not all such dots are necessarily given.

What an enjoyable puzzle! I found this VERY fun to solve. Very clever intersection of the index line properties with the yin yang coloring. The break-in was especially fun :)

I got there in the end! You were right, this puzzle was definitely up my street. Wonderful construction! I love the break-in and everything was fairly smooth after that, even though some bits took me a while to spot. Really gorgeous combination of two rulesets, I think we need to explore more yin-yang + index lines :D

Haven’t tried index lines before, and this one was a great way to get started and figure out the logic, as I enjoy Yin-Yang puzzles a lot. Beautifully set! Well deserving of its current 100% rating!

What setting! Really inspired to see the yin-yang interaction with the index lines (especially after Marty Sears's jewels/mines puzzle). You really brought the best of both variants out with this one. Bravo!
