RAT RUN 15: Connectedness

- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- AIM OF EXPERIMENT: Finkz the rat must reach the cupcake by finding a path through the maze. The path must not visit any cell more than once, cross itself, or pass through any thick maze walls.
- As well as moving orthogonally, Finkz may move diagonally if there's a 2x2 space in which to do so, but may never pass diagonally through a round wall-spot on the corner of a cell.
- BLACKCURRANTS: Digits connected by a blackcurrant have a 1:2 ratio.
- TELEPORTS: Entering a teleport will cause Finkz to be instantly transported to the matching coloured teleport. From there she can continue her journey. Matching teleports always have identical digits, but teleports that don't match always have different digits.
- TEST CONSTRAINT: Finkz' path is formed of one or more segments. Any uses of teleports will divide Finkz' path up into physically separate segments, ie; if a teleport is used, the current path segment ends at the entry teleport, and a new separate path segment begins at the matching exit teleport. Any path segment must function as a renban; it must consist entirely of a set of non-repeating, consecutive digits, which can be arranged in any order along the path segment.

A sudoku beyond brilliant! The logic is just astounding! Very glad I was able to solve it on my own! Excited for Phase 3, which releases on my birthday! What a great gift!
Marty: Haha I haven't set a release date for Phase 3 - I have no idea when that will be ready. When's your birthday?
Edit: Ah, I thought the dates on the phases were when they were expected to come out, so Puzzle 16 would come out on November 27th (of 2024, instead of 1974). That's when my birthday is, so I suppose at the least, she'll be solving a maze on my birthday, but the puzzle will come out sometime later!
Marty: ah no, you were right, puzzle 16 is coming out on Nov 27th, the only thing you were wrong about is that that's not phase 3... we're still in phase 2 :)

I love all the Rat Run puzzles, but I'm running out of things to say about them. It's exciting to see the mention of a phase 3 at the top of the page, I don't want them to end.

Finkz never ceases to amaze me. Without fear she went into these spooky teleporters while keeping the path going way better than me. Brilliant construction, Marty. You also never cease to amaze me with these unique rulesets. Much looking forward to the 3rd season.

Another wonderful chapter in the adventures of Finkz!
This one seemed a bit more straightforward than recent ones; I never really got stuck for long.
And a mention of "phase 3", so we're going to get a new season after this one!!!

I couldn't resist and keep Finkzes new adventures for my holidays in December.
Lovely puzzle, very approachable. Even as a beginner I spotted the breakin immediately, because I know Renban puzzles. Also thereafter the puzzle flows very nicely and each further deduction can easily be spotted.
Thanks once again Marty for allowing us to participate in your genius riddles.

Usually when I notice a rat run puzzle on this site, I've already watched Simon's solve, so it's not the same after that. This one was the first time I solved it before I watched his solve. It was fun. Thx.
