These puzzles were created for Juggler's challenge for Scojo's weekly setting prompt. The brief was to create a new constraint that was simple enough to state in one sentence, but robust enough that a puzzle could be set with it. Here are 4 attempts, 1 of which required 2 sentences. Oh well...
Big thanks to Juggler, and everyone at the CtC and Sudoku Stream Team discords who helped test and encourage these! If you enjoy yourself and want more, you can try a 9x9 Difference Pairrow puzzle here!. Click the puzzles to play, and have fun!
Rules:
Sudoku: Place the digits 1-6 in each row, column, and box.
Difference Pairrows: If a cell with 2 arrows contains the digit N, then the two cells N steps away in the indicated directions will have a difference of N.
Estimated difficulty: 1 star
Renban Pairrows: If a cell with 2 arrows contains the digit N, then the two cells N steps away in the indicated directions, along with N, will form a set of 3 consecutive non-repeating digits.
Estimated difficulty: 2 stars
Modular Pairrows: A cell with 2 arrows containing the digit N means that the 2 cells N moves away in the indicated directions have the same remainder when they are divided by N (i.e. , they will be equal to one another, modulo N).
For example, if an arrow cell contains a 1, the 2 cells it points at may contain any digits because all digits have a remainder of 0 when divided by 1.
Estimated difficulty: 3 stars
Index Pairrows: A cell with 2 arrows containing the digit N means that the 2 cells N moves away in the indicated directions will act as coordinates for an instance of N somewhere in the grid. The blue arrow determines its column and the orange arrow determines its row.
For example, if r2c4 were a 2, r2c2 were a 5, and r4c4 were a 6, then a 2 would have to go in r6c5.
Lösungscode: The digit in row 1 column 6 from each puzzle in order.

Lovely new constraint! I can see a lot of stuff that could be done with it. Really enjoyed the range displayed here.
