Gandalf fell silent, gazing eastward from the porch to the far peaks of the Misty Mountains, at whose great roots the peril of the world had so long lain hidden.
Normal sudoku rules apply.
Digits on lines form a non-repeating consecutive sequence in any order.

Looks easy. Starts easy. But still I struggeled. Felt harder than 1* to me. Very rewarding in the end. Thx.

i would have said "one does not simply solve this puzzle", but it turns out to be quite easy, after the first few steps.
it also turns out, i fear, that the line you use above is not canon ... neither is the line uttered so famously and well by sean bean.
