This is the latest installment in Flinty's Dutch Flat Mates series! If you would like to see a full list of official DFM puzzles, you can go here.
Many thanks to Flinty for letting me make an official Dutch Flat Mates puzzle! Combining this constraint with my beloved split pea lines turned out to lead to some very interesting logic, and I'm very happy with the result!
Without further ado, here are the rules!
Rules:
Sudoku: Normal sudoku rules apply.
Dutch Flat Mates: Every 5 in the grid must have a '1' directly above it or a '9' directly below it. It may have both, but it doesn't need both.
Split Peas: The sum of the digits on a line between two circles is equal to a concatenation of the digits in the circles, in some order. For example, 3-346-1 could be a valid split pea line, since 3+4+6=13, which is a concatenation of 3 and 1.
You can play the puzzle by clicking on the image!
Happy solving! Please leave a comment if you enjoyed, and check out the large collection of other flat mates puzzles!
I have been blessed to see many people take on the challenge of setting with split pea lines! If this variant interests you, you can see a comprehensive table of (nearly) all the split pea puzzles here.
One more thank you to Flinty for suggesting I set a puzzle for this series! This has been one that I have followed for a while, and I'm honored to have a place in this amazing set of puzzles!

This is so beautiful! A couple of times I thought “there’s no way this can solve”, and it unfolds so gorgeously.
