I think it would be interesting to see what can be done with this ruleset with sparser clueing, or perhaps in combination with fog.

The puzzle is easy enough and it matches Minesweeper fairly well, though the rule description was a fairly unclear due to some wording issues.
As far as I know, there isn't a standard wording for this rulest, but it should be something like:
"The Killer Box corner number is the number of surrounding cells that have a value lower than the digit in that Killer Box cell"
