This is my first time constructing a puzzle for Scojo's weekly prompt. This week, Dutch Flat Mates was the theme. Hope you enjoy, and thanks for playing!
Rules:
Normal Sudoku rules apply: Place the digits 1-9 once each in every row, column, and box
Dumpling Grid: Boxes 1,3,7, and 9 have had their corner edges pinched together so that r2c1 is considered above r1c2, and r1c7 is considered below r9c3, etc. The coloring reflects this.
Double Dutch Flat Mates: Every 5 in the grid must have a 1 directly above it and a 9 directly below it.
The cell above a given cell is whichever cell is reached by crossing its northern edge, and the cell below a given cell is reached by crossing its southern edge. For this reason, r2c1 is above r1c2, but r1c2 is not below r2c1.
Little Killers: Arrows outside the grid indicate the sum of the digits along the indicated diagonal. These arrows do not wrap around the dumpling corners.
