Copycat Kropki
(Eingestellt am 27. September 2024, 10:57 Uhr von Scojo)
This puzzle was set as part of my Secret Impostor challenge, where participants were tasked with creating a puzzle in their own signature style, and another puzzle in someone else's style. We then solved each pair of puzzles and attempted to determine which puzzle was set by the real setter, and which was set by the impostor. This was my entry in my own style, which went up against Can't Copy This Cat by Michael Lefkowitz (aka juggler). Unfortunately, I lost this round, and juggler's puzzle was deemed the superior Scojo puzzle!
Rules:
- Normal sudoku rules apply: Place the digits 1-9 once each in every row, column, and 3x3 box.
- Copycat Cells: Place 9 Copycat Cells into the grid so that there is exactly one Copycat Cell in each row, column, and 3x3 box. Each Copycat Cell must contain a different digit. The value of a Copycat Cell is the digit in the cell rotationally opposite itself in the grid (180° rotation about the center of the grid). For example, if r2c3 is a Copycat Cell containing the digit 5, and r8c7 contains the digit 9, the value of r2c3 is the digit in r8c7, which is 9.
- Kropki: Values separated by a black dot have a 1:2 ratio. Values separated by a white dot are consecutive. Not all dots are necessarily given.
