Standard suduko rules apply: each row, column, and 3x3 box must contain all the digits from 1 to 9.
Killer cages: digits in cages must not repeat, and must sum to the value in the corner.
Renban: each purple line must contain a non-repeating set of consecutive digits, in any order.
German whisper: adjacent digits on a green line must differ by at least 5.
Solution code: Enter column 8 from top to bottom.

Here's my solve of your puzzle. Took me a while to realize the phistomefel ring implications. It was fun!

I rated this 2/5 difficulty
Great puzzle and nice use of the phistomefel ring!
Saw this posted on CTC and gave it a go before watching Simon's solve.
I felt this puzzle was easier than 3*, but perhaps the use of the phistomefel ring would be a more intermediate/advanced technique that 2* puzzles may not require. However, because the phistomefel ring is becoming common knowledge (at least in this community), and the logical steps in the puzzle weren't too difficult on their own, I felt that this was closer to 2/5 difficulty. I'm not sure I could solve this without a prior understanding of the ring, as that helped massively in reducing the cell possibilities.
The break in (before I checked the phistomefel restriction) was nice and clean, and after I figured out the ring values it was smooth sailing. I think the whispers combined with the ring sums were very nice and a cool way to restrict the ring values to a smaller range. Haven't seen that before (with the whispers inherently restricting minimums/maximums), but it was very nice. My solve time was quite quick for this puzzle, but that is partly because I tried to solve it quickly and partly because I was able to figure out the direction of the solve path quickly and immediately saw the phistomefel ring pattern when I opened the puzzle. The renban+whisper restriction was also another nice idea for the break-in.
Overall I thought that the use of these variants was very nice and they all fit together well. Cool puzzle!

I first attempted this when it was published and got stuck and put it down for a while. Then I saw CTC had uploaded a video on it today. I figured I'd give it a second shot before I watched and almost immediately spotted what I missed the first time. Kicking myself a little, but I guess it sometimes takes 3 months to mull over something before it clicks.

Thank you, everyone. @Fra314, what you found was something I was trying for.

Wow, I never ever used the ring like that, absolutely brilliant!

Very nice and smooth after you spot the lovely break-in. Thank you!

This became an absolutely grind and slow whittling down of options for me, but enjoyably so - lovely puzzle!

Such a great puzzle and in the end it wasn't even too difficult. Probably depends on how quickly you can see what's going on in the puzzle.
