Set of Shurikens

(Published on 20. September 2024, 15:44 by SamuPiano)

This is the second puzzle I have ever published which utilizes fully standard constraints; however, I didn't want this one to be easy! After going in circles trying equivalences in egubachu's fantastic puzzle "The devil's modular links" before finally seeing the big picture, I decided to exploit some fascinating geometry that I uncovered in the process! I hope you find it as intriguing as I did!

If you need a hint about how to start this puzzle, I'd say: (highlight below)

Look at the first word of the puzzle title and start trying things. Trust the process!

And, if you've passed the break-in but are still going slowly,

Try to utilize the SET to the fullest of its ability - keep the entire SET highlighted to better keep track of what can and can't be in it!

Rules:

Sudoku: Normal sudoku rules apply.
Killer: Digits may not repeat in a cage and must sum to the number in the top left corner of the cage, if given.
Arrow: Digits along an arrow must sum to the digit in the bulb.
All coloring in the grid is purely cosmetic (though it might be useful!).

Happy solving! Please leave a comment if you enjoyed this one, and check out some of my other puzzles!

Solution code: The cells in row 4 of box 5, from left to right.

Thank you for setting this gem, and for having me as a tester. The logic in this puzzle is hard, but oh so rewarding! Very nice!
