Standard irregular sudoku rules apply: fill every row, column, and region with the digits 1-9 so that no number repeats in a row column or region.
SHADING: Except for errors (see below), in the completed grid, cells containing numbers exactly one greater than an immediate neighbour (diagonal or orthogonal) within their box are shaded (and otherwise unshaded).
STARBATTLE: There are exactly two starred cells in each row, column and region. No two starred cells touch, not even diagonally.
All starred cells are shaded incorrectly.
Lösungscode: Row 9

All the sequencing and negation make this one very hard to keep track of!

Thanks to everyone for their kind comments.
As for the difficutly ranking, this has been determined by the solvers -- I initialised it at three stars (thinking it was probably a difficult two-star but knowing that I have historically underestimated the difficulty of some of my puzzles).

Very fun puzzle. I agree with Franjo that its difficulty felt like 2 stars.

Very nice! But the difficulty rating here is misleading: I give only two stars (normally I‘d give more than other solvers). The solution path is very straight forward in this clever and beautiful setting. Thank you for creating and sharing.

Loved this one! But man, you have to be so careful with the deductions (had to restart twice) :-)

This might be my favorite break-in to an ATK puzzle ever! Very well constructed.
