(Eingestellt am 14. September 2024, 11:37 Uhr von Qodec)

  • Sudoku: Each row, column, and region indicated by thick borders in the grid must contain the digits 1 to 9 once each.
  • Little killers: Digits along diagonals indicated by arrows outside the grid must sum to the given number at that arrow. (Digits may repeat along these diagonals if allowed by other rules.)
  • Odd: The cell with the opaque grey circle contains an odd digit.

I rated this 3/5 difficulty.

Great little killed sudoku! The puzzle was quite approachable and had some really neat ideas.

Sometimes I struggle with little killer sudokus where there are many degrees of freedom for the sums, making it hard for me to pencilmark effectively. However, this puzzle was very neat because the sums were very restrictive and allowed me to quickly pencilmark, so I focused less on notation and more on the geometry of the puzzle.

This puzzle felt on the easier side of 3/5 difficulty puzzles, as the little killer values were fairly straightforward (in order to understand the restriction), but it did have a few tricky ideas that were tough to spot. I had to color a few values about midway through the solve to figure out how to progress after the initial break-in phase, but once I did that the whole puzzle came together nicely.

The whole puzzle had some very nice symmetry and geometries, and it was very enjoyable to solve.

Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful puzzle. It became clear with the symmetry involved that if the puzzle had a unique solution, R4C8 would be even. It was tempting to use that assumption, but far more rewarding to get there without it.

Here's my solve of your puzzle. Nice constraints with the little killer clues.

man i was cruising through the little killer phase and then the end took me a lot longer than it should have. I feel like it was pretty simple stuff, but enough different things going on i would completely forget which leads to go back and chase down
