Dutch Flat Mates: Index Lines

My 3rd contribution to Flinty's excellent and long-running series, Dutch Flat Mates. Here I wanted to combine DFM rules with a fun line type that I've been experimenting with recently.
Rules:
- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- 5's live in Dutch Flats: Every 5 in the grid must have a 1 directly above it or a 9 directly below it. It may have both, but it doesn't need both.
- Index Lines: On an index line, the digit in the Nth cell along the line (starting from the diamond) indicates the position along the line where the digit N appears. Eg: 3214 would be a valid line - the 1st digit, 3, indicates that the 3rd digit is a 1, and so on.

What an excellent puzzle! I’m a sucker for puzzle that doesn’t just fall apart into regular sudoku at the end.

Thank you for yet another very enjoyable puzzle! I haven't done a lot of the Dutch flat mates, so I found it a bit more challenging, but smooth all the way.

I agree that this one took a long time to conceptualize. I didn't really feel confident for the first two thirds of my solve.
As much as I love Dutch flat mates, one of my biggest concerns has been how quickly that constraint is often resolved, leaving only the rotating constraint. In this puzzle, I greatly appreciated how late into the solve I was still considering the DFM constraint. Very nice!

Takes a bit to wrap your head around the ruleset but once you do, you discover quite an elegant setting.
