I forgot what I should say, so i just record what i remember. I was going to combine Four Wind and Pentomino. It surprised me it only take 2 hours, the usual Sudoku variant set time. That’s not a good time. Because puzzle setting usually takes me longer to deal with one solution stuff. It’s like the region drawing, the actual solution constructing part is way too fast. So the next challenge for me is how to extent it. I got the structure ready, now all is left is filling. That feeling is so familiar. It means i need to know every ingredient deep. But i don’t want to, at least not now.
As for this puzzle, i always want to put Four Wind on a grid like Slitherlink and I always want to chop off all the stuff i don’t like in pento. I don’t have a good memory and can’t keep track of 10 different shapes. I’m not risking the playtest difficulty. The less i need to focus the more accurate i can be. I still struggle to find a consistant way to find tricks in puzzles. I don’t mean theories like penalty. I usually can’t have a hold of how clues should be placed. So far, none of the setters i asked can give me a definite idea of how clues should be placed. The standard procedure for me is to check a bunch of source material to get a hold of what i’m going to set. Well, i didn’t do this in this, which led to a short setting process
Lösungscode: Number of consistent cells not separate by lines in row 4 and column 6, like 55234

bigger, I clearly disagree with this first sentence you've placed in the beginning of some of your puzzles. For me this here is a new variant I definitely enjoyed.
I see a lot of interesting looking puzzles from you with very low solver numbers. I'm going to take some thourough looks at them.
bigger:thanks for the appreciation. but you need to know if i set the puzzle, i do it software-free. the good side is i'm capable of setting every idea. the down side is I can only set one. it's like i can't. if i deal with same idea again, it's torture.it's not that easy to copy my idea. so my puzzle is never in competition(even if I'm a known setter) which is why i said you won't miss anything. the link part is to shut all those link comments up. what's the point to be popular if i know my puzzle is destine to be unpopular.
also you need to know i a core Sudoku variant setter. puzzle setting is my test of my setting theory. i might not set that many puzzle per year. also you don't need to solve or comment to like a puzzle. i will always set puzzles no matter what happens, as Old Miles promised, all setting is for ourselves. showing puzzles is not to be praised or disliked. it's us blindly hoping to inspire others to set puzzles we like. Old Miles inspired me to set whatever i want, i hope to do the same here.
