Was really cool seeing this puzzle come together, glad I could be of help! The rule set is a very nice innovation; I'm always a fan of simple rules that have interesting consequences and this definitely fits the bill.

Fun and smooth throughout! I particularly liked how the artwork was a subtle reminder of the rules.

I also think this is a 1 star puzzle. I'm a beginner to this site and I got it in 15:44. 2 star puzzles usually take me longer than that. The rule set is new, so that took a few minutes to properly understand. Once I did, it was very easy to solve.
That's not a criticism though. I enjoyed the solve. It just has the wrong difficulty rating.
—Nordy: welcome, and thanks for the comment! Some info since you’re new (which took me a while to learn myself)—if a puzzle has blue stars, that is the difficulty rating set by the author. Once a puzzle has red stars, that means the puzzle has received 10 difficulty ratings from solvers, and the difficulty rating is the average score given. So, the people have voted, and the average vote for the puzzle rounds up to 2 stars (at current time of this comment). I imagine it’s a mix of 1-star and 2-star ratings, with slightly more 2-star votes. From now on, as the author I have no way of changing the difficulty rating—it’s in the hands of the solvers now. (FWIW, I thought the puzzle was 1.5 stars for difficulty, but listed at 2 stars, as I’d rather over-list than under-list the difficulty).

Very nice, though I think it’s a clear 1 star puzzle. The solving path was straight and broad. Thank you very much for the lovely idea and pretty presentation.

Very very nice! I totally agree with @marty_sears on the beautiful and meaningful artwork. I takes a little to notice, but then it‘s very useful.
The difficulty was rather 1 star for me.

Loved this! Such a nice simple premise, perfect theming and artwork, even the colours are perfect. The best part was how the spikes on the cacti actually mean something useful and meaningful - I constantly referred to those throughout the solve rather than having to keep check the rules. Perfect use of artwork as a visual prompt.
The way the deadly patterns at the end resolved was also very satisfying. Can't imagine a better execution of this idea than this.
