GERMAN BEETLES
Sometimes you strip a prior puzzle for parts and find the jewels within! The beetle block here was something I constructed inside a different puzzle I was working on, and I decided to showcase it.
This puzzle was originally published in Artisanal Sudoku, Volume 134 on July 29, 2024. Many thanks to Mr. James Sinclair for the feature!
Rules:
Classic rules apply.
Digits along a green German Whisper line must have a difference in value of at least 5 from their neighbors.
A sequence of digits along a gray palindrome line reads the same in both directions.
Digits along a thermo strictly increase in value from the bulb to the tip.
Digits in killer cages are distinct and add up to the value in the top left corner of the cage.
Digits with an X between them sum to 10; digits with a V between them sum to 5. No negative constraints.
Digits with a white Kropki dot between them have a difference in value of 1. No negative constraints.
