Normal 8x8 sudoku rules apply.
Digits in circles have to be assigned to one of the circle's surrounding cells.
Blue lines are Region Sum lines wherein 2x4 box borders divide them into segments with the same sum. There are two of such lines that may or may not have the same sum.
Clues outside of the grid indicate the sum of the digits between 1 and 8 in the indicated row or column.
Solution code: Enter Row 5

I solved the puzzle assuming there are 2 blue lines (lesser constraint)

This was surprisingly challenging compared to my first impression. I'd give it 2,5/5.
Not the biggest fan of 2x3 or 2x4 puzzles, but this was really good nevertheless.
In the rules you really could clarify the lines. At least say there are two lines which may or may not have the same sum.

This was super fun! I enjoyed the attention of slight details, you don't need to take on account the first 8 you encounter haha!

Very nice puzzle where the combination of variants plays well together. Silly me, I would have fared better if I had observed some of the patterns in the grid!

Good fun, thank you for that! You might want to change the 3x3 into 2x4 in the rules.

Thank you for this beautiful puzzle, chrisjnap! It has some very cool deductions and I love the look of those "powers of 2" quads. Great set-up!
