In Line

In Line, by James Sinclair

Normal sudoku rules apply.
N-Lines: each line must be divided into two or more segments that each contain digits that sum to N, where the value of N is to be determined and is different for each line. Segments along the same line cannot have the same length.
Digits in cells separated by a white dot are consecutive.

Fantastic puzzle,
Have some great deductions, took a bit of time but time well spent.

Agree with the other posters. When you first look at the puzzle in the right way, you cruise towards a solution. But it may take a reset or two. Very elegant. Great puzzle!

So I’m not alone in needing too much time for understanding this beautiful construction - though it’s totally fair! When I got the solution I felt a bit stupid looking back. Thank you so much for sharing this lovely gem.

Very elegant. Took me some time to get the big picture, but then it was super smooth. Finished in 17 minutes after that.

Stared at this for a little, didn't get far at all, took a nap, and the break-in plus a slew of pencil marks came to me in a dream. Solved beautifully after that. Thanks for this!

Great puzzle with a lot of thoughtful steps to it. Deserves a higher rating than it is currently.

When I found the real break-in it felt obvious, but it had taken me a long time to ask the right question. After that it was smooth sailing, but still a nice challenge. Beautiful puzzle, thanks!
