Setting Collaboration
This puzzle was set with Palpot and was set for Scojo's discord prompt following a twitch channel points redeem by gdc, where gdc provided the direction of "a shading puzzle with modifiers".
Thank you to Palpot for being a pleasure to set with, it's not the first time and won't be the last.
Difficulty: 3/5, but could potentially rise to 4/5 after review.
Normal Sudoku rules apply.
Place the digits 1-9 so that they do not repeat in any row, column, or 3x3 box.
Yin Yang
Shade some cells so that all shaded cells are orthogonally connected and all unshaded cells are orthogonally connected. Each 2x2 area of the grid contains shaded and unshaded cells.
Doublers (Modifier)
The value of shaded cells are equal to twice the digit it contains. Unshaded cells retain their original value.
Killer Cages
Values in cages must sum to the number in the top-left corner, and digits cannot repeat within a cage.

Hint available below the puzzle image - may only work on Desktop
Hint - Where to start
Some cages are forced to have a doubler, this is particularly useful in the perimeter. Other useful considerations are yinyang techniques, parity and min/maxing.
Solution code: Digits from Column 8 (from top to bottom), but with "-" between shaded/unshaded digits (i.e. 12-3-456-7-89).

Fantastic puzzle! Unfortunately, I messed up near the end (big thanks to Flinty for telling me how far I had to rewind ^^), but the puzzle was huge fun. It was so packed with nice deductions and sneaky arithmetic logic. Exactly like your previous collab puzzle: A pure class act! Thank you very much for setting and sharing, Flinty and Palpot!

very well done flinty and palpot. I tested an earlier version of this and already liked it a lot. But this one took the cleverness up a step or two :D

I think you only see the break-in, if you have solved some Yin Yang puzzles before. Nice, just right with 3 stars.
