Fog: Part of the grid is covered with fog. As correct digits are placed, the fog will clear from cells surrounding the correct digit, revealing additional clues. There is always enough information in the revealed portion of the grid to place another correct digit without guessing. Digits can be placed within the fog.
Consecutive Dots: Digits separated by a white dot are consecutive. Not all possible dots are necessarily given.
Pointing Thermometers: Digits along thermometers must strictly increase from bulb to tip. In addition, the digit in the bulb of the thermometer appears X cells away from the tip, in the direction pointed to by the tip, where X is the value in the tip of the thermometer.
Credit goes to the excellent constructor, arbitrary, for introducing this very fun constraint with their puzzle Pointing Thermos.

Nice puzzle. The wording of the thermo rule is very confusing, though, as it suggests that the digit in the tip refers to the distance to its own bulb, which would make all digits along thermos consecutive. A look at the example proved very helpful. Perhaps the explanation might need some rephrasing. Other than that, a very enjoyable quick snack.

Struggled to understand the constraint until I went to the intro puzzle link. Then it clicked and was ridiculously good fun.

I really enjoy fog puzzles like this where the steps all fall into place one after the other so nicely!

The rules confused me at first as I thought the tip had to point at the bulb, but it actually just points to the same value as the bulb.

I had to read the rules a few times. But once I got my head around it, the puzzle was great.

Love the pointing thermometers! What a cool variant! When I first saw the puzzle (and before reading the rules), I thought, “One star?!? For a puzzle where we only see the tip of a thermometer?!?” And then after reading the rules, I thought, “How do I even get started?!” Figuring it out was an incredible aha moment!

What a great combination of constraints. I'd love to see a "heartburn"-level version someday :)
