This is the 8th chapter of the Zodiac Project, initiated by ViKingPrime. The idea is that one builds a puzzle around a specified disjoint set before picking a new one and handing the baton over to the next puzzle setter. I am very happy to be a part of it. The previous parts of the series are:
Chapter 1: Orion's Belt by ViKingPrime
Chapter 2: Counting Castles by marty_sears
Chapter 3: Derezzed by heliopolix
Chapter 4: Rodd Stevens by 99%Sneaky
Chapter 5: Phase Shift by meggen033
Chapter 6: Cage Decoder by sujoyku
Chapter 7: Star Chart by Flinty
Thank you to Flinty for asking me to set the next puzzle in the series. The next Zodiac Project puzzle will be set by the fabulous gdc. His specified disjoint set is the following:
Zodiac Project, Chapter 8: Parity Expedition
The Viking Prime cruised into the Palpot system, its sleek, angular design reminiscent of ancient Nordic longships.
Commander Jus stood beside Nilf on the bridge, her voice firm. "Start scanning immediately for anything unusual," she ordered. "The answer must be here somewhere."
The console beeped urgently. "Commander, these readings indicate extensive debris. There was a battle here, with numerous vessels lost... wait... something is odd." Nilf said with concern.
A chill ran down Jus's spine as she whispered, barely audible, her voice filled with concern, "Parity..."
Rules:
Normal Sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1-9 once in each row, column, and 3X3 box.
Disjoint: Diamonds contain a complete set of the digits 1-9.
Battenburg: Whenever 2 odd and 2 even digits form a 2x2 checkerboard pattern (e.g. R2C1 and R3C2 even, R2C2 and R3C1 odd), a Battenburg marking is given. If there is no such marking, the above pattern is not allowed (Negative constraint).
Kropki: Cells separated by a white dot must contain consecutive digits. Cells separated by a black dot have a 1:2 ratio. Not all possible dots are given.
Solve online: SudokuPad
Lösungscode: Column 6 digits from top to bottom.

Super cool disambiguations all throughout!

This was lovely and smooth. Really nice use of the given disjoint set... kind of remarkable that you were able to end the puzzle in such a pleasing way considering you had no flexibility of where to have the diamonds. this is what makes Project Zodiac so interesting, and you rose to the challenge brilliantly!

Lovely puzzle. It feels odd commenting sometimes, because we chat on discord all the time and you already know I enjoyed the puzzle - haha.
I look forward to seeing where gdc takes it.

That was such a fascinating puzzle (also my first Battenburg), delightfully surprising throughout.

My first battenburg puzzle. Very interesting constraint and worked perfectly with the disjoint. Thank you for the nomination. This puzzle already gave me some colorful ideas.

Thank you for this fun puzzle, palpot! I loved the interaction of the disjoint with the Battenburg and Kropkis! A tough one, but really rewarding.
