A Sequence of Snakes

Rules
Normal sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1-9 exactly once each in every row, column, and 3x3 box.
Place 9 snakes in the grid. Each snake has a unique length, and is a single-cell wide orthogonally connected set of cells that does not branch. No snake may orthogonally connect to any other snake (or itself), but can touch diagonally.
Digits in circles lie somewhere on a snake, and represent the length N of that snake. A snake of length N contains the digits 1-N.
Outside clues give the sum of circle cells in that row/column.
No 2x2 area may be entirely snake-free.
Digits in cells surrounded by a V clue sum to 5, and are both placed on a snake.

Very cool puzzle! I had to be careful to not overlook possibilities, as I thought I broke the puzzle a couple of times, but it was simply user error. Everything worked beautifully together, thanks!

Super fun!!! Variety of neat deductions but with a consistent theme. Makes very good use of each element. That's what variant sudoku is about!
