Nurimazomino

(Eingestellt am 8. Juni 2024, 23:24 Uhr von mathpesto)

Rules:

Fillomino: Divide the grid into polyominoes so that polyominoes of the same size don't share an edge. Each cell contains a number equal to its polyomino's size.

Nurimaze: Cells with letters, circles, and triangles are unshaded. Some of the unshaded cells form an orthogonal, one-cell-wide path from S (start) to G (goal). The path includes all cells with circles and no cells with triangles. All unshaded cells form an orthogonally connected area, and unshaded cells cannot form a loop. A polyomino is either fully shaded or fully unshaded, while a 2x2 area cannot be fully shaded nor fully unshaded.

Arrows: Numbers on cells with arrows refer to the total amount of polyominoes seen in the indicated direction(s). If multiple arrows in a cell see the same polyomino, it is only counted once.

For those unfamiliar with nurimaze, here is a link to an explanation/example on puzzlink.

Very fun puzzle! Plesant solve, had a great flow to it.

Maybe it is just me and my unfamiliarity with arrows but i found it hard to know if the arrow number include the square it is in or not, not sure if ment to be obvious by the rule or to be deducted.

Very fun ! And clearly easier than other nurimaze variants I tried before. Thanks :)

Can you clarify the loop rule? Does it only count as a loop if it is enclosed orthogonally or does that rule also include loops closed diagonally?

Diagonal is fine, orthogonal loops are not allowed. -Math Pesto

Thanks, I found another link with an example that shows the diagonal looping. ~JDS2

A truly inventive puzzle. I am never disappointed with a MathPesto puzzle, and this is no exception.

One of the most fun puzzles I’ve solved! If you’re looking for a boring, tedious, non-innovative puzzle, stay far away from this one
