Intro:
This is the fourth puzzle in the
Zodiac Project, created by
ViKing Prime. The previous entries in the series are:
Rules:
- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- The pink circles contain a complete set of the digits 1 through 9. (Parity Change Lots) If the digit in a pink circle is on one of the following line types it counts the number of parity changes [i.e. from odd to even or vice versa] between adjacent digits which occur along that line.
- LINE TYPES:
The digits along the dark blue line sum to 5. Adjacent digits along the green line must have a difference of at least 5. The grey line is a palindrome and must read the same in both directions. Digits on the turquoise thermometer must increase from the bulb end to the tip. Digits along the red double arrow have the same sum as the digits in the attached circles. Every string of three adjacent digits along the yellow line must contain one digit from each modulo 3 set: 147, 258 or 369. Digits along the lilac line form a set of non-repeating consecutive digits in any order.
- Lines do not share cells, branch or cross.
- Additionally, the grid is partially covered in fog and placing correct digits will clear the fog from the surrounding cells. Guessing is not required.
Accessibility Note:
The following cells containing pink circles cover one cell of a certain color line. The pink circle location/line color combinations are as follows: R1C7 - Lilac // R4C7 - Red // R5C2 - Dark Blue // R5C5 - Grey // R7C2 - Yellow // R7C5 - Turquoise. The
Green line is completely covered by fog at the start of the puzzle.

Very nice use of the disjoint group! I love that this is still going.

An absolute blast, from start to finish! Great use of the disjoint set and incredible use of this new Parity Lot constraint. The lines keep everything fresh and flowing - great stuff.

An astounding puzzle! Such an excellent entry in the series and a fantastic introduction to a brand new constraint!
