I absolutely love the idea you came up with regarding the presents. I hope this puzzle will be used as a proof of concept for either you or other setters to use for puzzles harder than 1 star.

Great idea. Awesomely executed! How any of this miserable lot can mark it down is beyond me.....

Another new idea which could give another dimension in creating puzzles. Awesome thx.

@RedBarchetta, I would love to see what you and other setters could build with this concept! Feel free to ping me in Discord (I'm yura_chameleon there), and I'll help with the software.

"I wish, that, I knew what I know now...when I was...ahem...earlier in this puzzle..."

I love this idea and have wanted to use it when setting puzzles. I find I can build a great three star puzzle, but when I finish building it, I must add some clue to disambiguate it. Then, that clue can be used at the beginning of the solve and it becomes a 1 star puzzle. Anyway - loved the presentation. Great fun, thanks! And as we learned from James Bond, Christmas comes more than once a year.

“You shouldn’t use this rule well because someone else might use it badly” is a bizarre argument.
Fun puzzle, brilliantly architected. Had me stumped for a little while, very satisfying when I finally spotted the resolution.

Surprising time for a Xmass sudoku, but that didn't make it any less fun. The way the new rules kept appearing was quite nice and kept you on your toes.

@SudokuFan you might as well just say you don’t like antiknight puzzles. Which is fine, but some people enjoy them.

Beautiful example of a mechanic with lots of potential.

Loved how it kept unfolding itself. Sort of reminded me of the “Legacy” series of board games introducing new rules throughout. Excellent setting! Would love to see a similar puzzle in a 9x9 grid.
