Godoku

(Eingestellt am 25. Mai 2024, 20:28 Uhr von sfushidahardy)

Rules:

  • Standard 9x9 go rules... I mean, sudoku rules apply.
  • White go stones: if a single white stone is on a corner of a cell, the digit in the cell is the number of digits with the same parity as itself in the diagonal beyond the white stone.
  • Black go stones: if a single black stone is on a corner of a cell, the digit in the cell is the number of digits with the opposite parity from itself in the diagonal beyond the black stone.
  • If multiple stones are on the corners of a cell, the digit in the cell is the sum of the values computed as above for each stone.
  • Tesuji: The cells indicated with 一, 二, and 三 (1, 2, and 3) contain digits in strictly ascending order.

Solve Godoku on Sudokupad.

Here's an example of what a 6x6 solution might look like, to explain the go-stone rules. The relevant cells have been coloured to indicate parity.

Lösungscode: The digits in row 9.

After navigating a somewhat unfamiliar fuseki, I entered the middle game with some confidence, only to find myself in a tricky capturing race where my reading skills were put to the test. Fortunately, I found the correct shape point and was able to coast in the endgame for a 3.5-point victory over this magnificent puzzle!

Striking balance of simplicity and beauty. The well-placed clues are very powerful!

Changed to an example which doesn't hint at the break-in, and coloured cells for clarity.

Some lovely logic - great how the ruleset came together. I had to do some scanning but it was still a lot of fun. Thank you!
