Yin-Yang-Yong

(Eingestellt am 13. Mai 2024, 00:27 Uhr von marty_sears)

Rules:

  • Somedoku: Fill each cell with a digit from 1-9. For every row 'n' and column 'n' there are exactly 'n' unique digits. The remaining cells are filled with repeats.
  • Yin-Yang-Yong: Divide the grid into three regions. A region is an area of orthogonally connected cells. No 2x2 area may be entirely in one region.
  • Identical digits may not appear in different regions.
  • German Whisper (green): Adjacent digits on a green line have a difference of at least 5.
  • Nabner (yellow): No two digits anywhere on a yellow line may be consecutive (or the same.)
  • Entropic (orange): Any group of 3 adjacent cells on an orange line must contain one low digit (1, 2 or 3), one medium digit (4, 5 or 6) and one high digit (7, 8 or 9.)
  • Same Difference (turquoise): Adjacent digits on a turquoise line always have the same difference. This difference must be determined for each turquoise line.
  • X: Digits joined by an X sum to 10.
  • Blue Arrow: A digit on a blue arrow indicates how many region borders (separating two regions) are seen in the direction of the arrow. (Region edges at the outer perimeter of the grid don't count.)

Very cool deductions for the break-in. Love how yin-yang-yong reacts with somedoku. Great puzzle as always :)

Classic Marty Sears; brain bending but in the best possible way. Every clue provided an "oh wow" moment! With at least a couple of steps being just absolutely brilliant

Loved it as always! Especially enjoyed the logic figuring out the distribution of numbers to regions.

I found that surprisingly tough. Good fun though.

title reminds me of the Spike Milligan poem.

You can always count on Marty to make you count. This was a monster of a challenge but very rewarding.

Nice one! My first time solving a yin-yang-yong. Quite fun "variant" of yin-yang with some surprising twists. Felt a little harder than 3 stars to me but worth every brain-muscle needed to finish.
