Whisperlink

Inspired by Ana-"con"-da Slitherlink by yttrio, which I highly recommend! You can also check it out for an example of how the loop and square clues work.
Rules:
Normal Sudoku rules apply.
Whisperlink:
- Draw a single continuous loop along the edges of cells that never crosses itself and never branches. In this puzzle, the loop is NOT allowed to touch the outside border of the grid.
- Cells with green squares act as Slitherlink clues—the digit in a square gives the number of loop segments along the four edges of that cell.
- Whenever two digits are separated by a loop segment, those digits must differ by at least 5.
Solve online:
Solution code: Column 5, with hyphens between digits that are separated by the loop (ex: 12-345-6-789)

Im rating it lower than i would like to. it starts very strong. but there is some point at the end where there is just no way to progress the puzzle without guessing numbers and hoping for the best. Im sure thats not really the case. but i had no idea how i was supposed to solve it otherwise.

A very nice, logical variant on the Ana-"con"-da Slitherlink rule set! This manages to have significantly different logic required than that puzzle, with some very cool loop-building along the way.
