Prime Cuts and Perfect Squares

(Published on 26. March 2024, 05:00 by Will Power)

Normal Sudoku rules apply. PRIME PAIRS- All neighboring pairs of digits on red lines are prime numbers, when read from left to right or top to bottom. Prime pairs do not repeat on the same red line. In addition, the four endpoints of the red lines are each different single-digit prime numbers. PERFECT SQUARE PAIRS- All neighboring pairs of digits on blue lines are perfect squares (16, 25, 36....), when read from left to right or top to bottom. KILLER CAGES- Numbers in cages sum to the number in the top left corner of the cage. EVEN- Cells with a gray square are even.

wonderful puzzle as per usual Will! I took great joy from having to recite out prime numbers and square numbers out loud in order to try and work out the sequences :D

@Syzygy Thanks so much for the comments. -Will Power

Very nice math puzzle. It definitely helped me to make a list of the 2-digit primes

As always, a fantastic puzzle from Will. I'm finally starting to dip into trying 2* puzzles and am proud of myself that I worked this one out (it helps that I've memorized the primes).

This is a prime puzzle. Really a cut above many others. Nearly perfect, I'd say. Got a digit in all the squares.
