I had the crazy idea to combine Sudoku with Poker. It was a ton of fun to set, so I hope the solve is entertaining too. Its a tad mind-bending, so the difficulty is between 3 and 4.
Rules:Each row and region contains the digits 0 to 9 exactly once. Digits CAN be equal in the same column, if allowed by other rules.
Digits in cages sum to the total given and cannot repeat.
Cells that are orthogonally adjacent cannot contain consecutive digits.
Each region has one assigned suit (clubs, spades, hearts, diamonds).
Assign each cell in the grid to one of 8 uniquely occurring poker hands of 5 orthogonal connected cells each:
Royal Flush : 9 to 5 of the same suit
Straight Flush : 5 consecutive digits of the same suit
Four of a Kind : 4 identical digits + 1 arbitrary digit
Full House : 3 identical digits + 2 identical digits
Flush : 5 digits of the same suit
Straight : 5 consecutive digits of arbitrary suits
Three of a Kind : 3 identical digits + 2 arbitrary digits
Two Pair : 2 + 2 identical digits + 1 arbitrary digit
Each hand counts as its highest rating. So e.g., a 11122 cannot be used as a three of a kind.

A challenging, yet incredibly rewarding puzzle! I really appreciate the creativity that went into even conceiving of this idea, and the execution was brilliant. Thanks for setting... I very much enjoyed it.

Very nice puzzle with a batch of refreshing logic! It really went "all in" on the theme, and was definitely no "flop" (I can't think of a turn or river pun currently) :)

I feel a bit disingenuous claiming the solve, because I needed a LOT of help - haha - but that's more about my ability as a solver, and not the puzzle.
If you're thinking I solved it fast, I had the advantage of early access. This is an excellent puzzle with clever logic. 4/5 difficulty in my opinion for what it's worth.
