This puzzle was part of a 21-puzzle pack made for Martin Ender (Menderbug) during Christmas of 2023.
The full set is currently not publicly available yet, but I've picked out the mashup puzzles to share here
since they're a bit more interesting than the rest, which were simply vanilla logic puzzles.
As The Alphabet Evolves (Easy As ABC x Evolmino)
Easy As ABC : Place letters in the given range above the grid in some cells of the grid, such that every row and column contains each letter exactly once. Clues outside the grid indicate the
first letter seen in that row/column from that direction, ignoring empty cells.
Additionally, letter cells on an arrow must be the same letter.
Evolmino :
When a cluster of letter cells overlaps an arrow, it behaves as an Evolmino polyomino. Starting from the base of an arrow, each successive polyomino on an arrow must be the previous polyomino, plus exactly one extra square. Polyominoes may not touch orthogonally, each polyomino must touch exactly one arrow only once, and each arrow must pass through at least two different polyominoes.
Solve on Penpa+
For Penpa+'s answer checker to trigger, use the following modes:
- Number or Sudoku -> Normal -> Green or Blue
Answer checker is case sensitive; enter as CAPITAL letters.
Shading in cells will not be checked but is recommended.

@ClashCode the official Evolmino rules does specifically say each arrow must pass through at least two polyominoes. I've simply forgotten to include it in the written rules.
The post have been edited to include this rule. Apologies.
