Normal Sudoku rules apply.

Digits in a cage sum to the number in its corner. Cells that half-appear in a cage only contribute half their value to its sum. Digits appear at most once in the same cage (half-appearing twice counts as appearing once).

i need to say this:
this definitely qualifies for the "artisanal" category.
it's not just that you are consistently placing one thing ON TOP of a previous thing, it's that it's so blatantly obvious that you are doing so.
p.s. who says you can't have fractions as valid sudoku digits? (or at least, fractional values)

oh, and send it to simon straightaway

Haven't seen this ruleset before. It's excellent, also not hard at all!

Very nice twist on killer cages, and a great approachable puzzle to really introduce the concept!

You think there can hardly be any new, good rules that aren't either very special or just variants of well-known rules... and then you come around the corner with this fantastic idea!! Thank you for that!
