My Zipper is Broken

(Published on 26. February 2024, 14:53 by marty_sears)

Rules:

  • Normal sudoku rules apply.
  • These zipper lines are completely broken. On a broken zipper, no pairs of digits that are the same distance from the central spot have the same sum, and none of these sums equal the digit on the central spot.
  • Digits separated by a white dot are consecutive.
  • Digits separated by a black dot are in a 1:2 ratio.
  • The grey perimeter can be used for making notes.

This one requires extensive note taking, but isn't difficult beyond that. Cheers for the massive zipper. Truly hilarious.

Lovely joy to solve the whole way through. Really appreciate the extra note space and hope setters catch on to that trend.

Man, I've been staring myself blind on this one. But when I finally cracked it, it was very satisfying :D. Nice tough with the M, Marty! And the long broken zipper kinda looks like a dragon

Great puzzle! First 4 star puzzle I’ve completed. Never felt stuck, the puzzle had a very nice flow to it

What a beautiful solve. Very straightforward, and I always knew where to look next. Stunning setting.

This was a great concept and excellently set! Thank you!

Relatively straight forward breakthrough once you have that eureka moment. Lovely puzzle

The long Zipper is delightful but needs a lot of work to break-in to the puzzle. I thought once I broke through that long Zipper the rest would crumble but I was wrong, lovely twist at the end. Thank you for setting and sharing all of these wonderful puzzles.

While this isn't technically a wrogn puzzle, the concept is still the same and I still enjoyed every second of it.

Wonderful puzzle once again! I guess I was too excited after solving the long line quite easily, because then I got totally confused and started to think that the shorter lines are different difference zipper lines where the middle cell has a value different from all the differences of the zipper pairs...

Fabulous puzzle! and, for me, the perfect level of difficulty. I found it a little easier than 4*.

This is one of the best sudokus I’ve ever done! So brilliantly put together, and I think my first successful 4* puzzle, so thanks so much!

I love a puzzle where the break-in is obvious but not trivial and where the logic is intricate but not overwhelming, and this puzzle straddles those lines beautifully. I also appreciated the grey squares for note taking : )

These are Reppiz lines haha

What a stellar puzzle. An absolute banger.
Felt like only 3* to me, but this sort of puzzle is very much my style.
