Nala loves to sneak up on the pheasants in our park and watch them scatter and angrily squawk at her while flying just a few meters away. She knows the spots where they are likely to sit to some degree, but there is still that moment of pleasant surprise, when she finds one.
The grid is partially covered in fog. Entering correct digits will clear the fog from surrounding cells, possibly revealing more clues and helping Nala to find the pheasants.
Chaos Construction: Each row, column, and region contains the digits 1-9 exactly once each. A region is an orthogonally connected collection of cells. The shape and position of the regions have to be determined with the help of the following clues:
Small Arrows: The digit in a cell containing a small arrow indicates the number of region borders seen in that direction. If there is more than one small arrow, the number of borders is the same in each direction, not the total for all directions. The outer edges of the grid do not count as borders.
Circles: A digit in a circle equals the number of cells seen horizontally and vertically that are in the same region as the circled digit, including itself. Borders obstruct vision.
Pheasants had to flee from some circles. Their flight path is shown as a (larger) arrow. Digits on that (larger arrow) sum to the digit in that arrows circle, which also follows the same cell counting rules as the other circles in the grid.

The chaos construction puzzles are like a final boss of variant sudokus to me. This one is very fair and a perfect puzzle to get used to this constraint. Great work as usual. Big thx.

Thanks for a great puzzle! Does small squares have any additional constrains?
Sandra here! Sorry! These are feather emoji and some browsers will not know how to display them and just turn them into squares ^^ they are just cosmetic!

I found this one to be a bit harder than your usual puzzles but that's probably because it's my first chaos. As always, your puzzles are lovely to solve. Give Nala lots of love from me and my dogs.

Very fun
quick question though. Where do you set fog of war puzzles i have been wanting to set one for some time butcant figure out how
Sandra here! Sudoku Maker is a great software for setting sudoku! (It’s my go to anyway): https://sudokumaker.app/
You would select a cosmetic cage and set „FOGLIGHT“ as value to have a puzzle in which the cage is the lit area and the rest of the grid will be fog! :)

Always love an approachable Chaos Construction, especially one as buttery smooth as this. And even more so when Nala gets to chase things around to her hearts content.
